Four hours of drivel, no doubt
I read today about the Ricky Gervais podcast. Eight half-hour episodes, probably filled with trite observations, lots of head-squeezing and references from Merchant that Chinatown isn't really a town, more a novelty street.
I think I'll listen nonetheless.
The Guardian link above only contains the last four episodes, so here's the full catalogue for those with too much time on their hands.
- Episode 1
- Episode 2
- Episode 3
- Episode 4
- Episode 5
- Episode 6
- Episode 7
- Episode 8
Enjoy!
I just finished the most recent of the eight episodes released so far. A degree of repetition from the XFM shows, but entertaining nonetheless.
The revelations from Karl's diary in episode 8 are a stroke of genius and a number of times, I have received strange looks on the way to work due to being in tears of laughter.
Finally, I should get into the review business, such was the accuracy of the title of this post even before listening. Ricky signed off on episode 6 with:
"I hope you enjoyed our Podcast there. Another half hour of absolute drivel"
